Predominant vegetation is Quercus wislizenii - Ceanothus leucodermis shrubland, burned ca. 25 years prior, with Quercus chrysolepis, Q. kelloggii, Pinus coulteri also occurring; also, mixed evergreen forest without sign of burn.

Annual; flowers white. Occasional near trail, in shade beneath shrub.
