Habitat:
Decomposed granite soil on mountain slopes. Pine-oak forest with Quercus kell., Q. chrysol., Pinus coulteri, P. jeffr., Salix, Muhlenbergia rigens, Rosa calif., Achillea mill., Artemisia dougl.

Notes:
Common 50 cm annuals in roadside seeps with other herbs; fls. yellow (few remaining). Several hundred plants along roadside, c. 0.1 mi. from Hwy 74.
