Decomposed granite on steep slopes in a small canyon. Chaparral with Ceanothus, Dendromecon, Eriodictyon crassifolium; burned ca. 5 years ago.
Flowering & Fruiting
Scarce annual on margins of a gully above the road, 3800 ft., c. 10 plants seen. In open flat place with many herbs. Fls. yellow, but almost none still open. Plants with strong, distinctive (sweet-resinous) odor.
