Habitat:
Relatively gentle ridgetop w/ deep, friable adobe soil, southerly slopes gravelly, grading into very barren areas of dark, highly weathered volcanic substrate w/ very thin soil. Ridgetop & more mesic exposures w/ open woodland of Quercus douglasii & Juniperus californica, xeric slopes more open w/ scattered Juniperus, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Eriogonum fasciculatum polifolium, Ribes quercetorum, & Penstemon centranthifolius.
Reproductive Condition:
Flowering & Fruiting
Notes:
Annual, corolla blue. Locally common on mesic adobe soil.
