Hillsides, ridgetops and adjacent alluvial fan. Most of site burned within past year. Alluvial fan of granitic material; conspicuous plants are Prunus fasciculata, Yucca brevifolia, Pinus monophylla. Ridgetops a mix of carbonate and granitic bedrock.

Uncommon low annual on alluvium; fls. bright blue-violet.
