Steep, exposed slopes coverd by open coastal sage scrub (Artemisia californica & Salvia apiana dominants); N-facing slopes covered by dense Quercus berberidifolia chaparral w/ well-developed understory of ferns (Polypodium californicum, Dryopteris arguta).

Flowering & Fruiting
Notes:
Occasional to common annual, c. 0.7 m tall. Fls. ± blue and white.
