Mesic swale opening in chaparral with Madia exigua, Juncus bufonius, Corethrogyne sp., Muhlenbergia rigens, Bromus tectorum, Microseris lindleyi, Cordylanthus rigidus, etc. Granitic substrate with a sandy soil
Flowering
annual, 12-36” tall. Ray fls yellow with yellow anthers. Large population of individuals (2000-5000 individuals) from the Indian Flats metapopulation (discovered by Steve Boyd of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in November of 1995).
