Predominant vegetation is coastal sage scrub dominated by Artemisia californica and Salvia mellifera, grading into Adenostoma chaparral. Quercus agrifolia forest in canyon bottoms.
Fruiting
Fairly common subshrub, c. 0.7 m tall, in open places in coastal sage scrub. Fls yellow (but very few fls this date).
