Habitat:
Rocky soil on a steep , E to SE facing slope. With Ceanothus spinosus, Dendromecon rigida (not common), on the margin of a burn.
Reproductive Condition:
Flowering & Fruiting
Notes:
Basal burl, observed sprouting in the burn area; c. 1 m tall. Red persistent bark, young twigs hairy.
