Uplands to the east of large playa pool. Alkaline prairie dominated by tall Lolium that has now lodged and is covering ground with thick thatch through which Frankenia is poking. If thatch were gone this would be alkaline praire dominated by Frankenia. Annual herb, growing along north-south trending shallow ditch/swale. Very common plant. 1,000 or more plants in uplands.
