United States, California, Mono, Mono County: Lundy Canyon just northwest of Mono Lake. Located south moraine of the canyon approximately 125 meters up 4x4 road running 50 meters west of Deer Creek from the dam at Lundy Lake.

Perhaps I have learned a bit more since 2016! Hope so. Anyway, my initial idea is clearly wrong, because Lomatium nevadense has cream-colored flowers, and these are yellow. Now that I have reviewed many more Apiaceae collections, I would say this is likely Cymopterus terebinthinus var. californicus. The lack of fruit is always a problem in identifying Apiaceae, but after just reviewing lots of images of Cymopterus, I think my second opinion is much more likely to be valid.
