United States, California, Mendocino, On Lincoln Ridge. In a forest habitat, in a mixed evergreen plant association, dominated by Arbutus, Acer, and Quercus chrysolepsis, with moderate moisture, in medium sunlight, highly abundant in area. Plant is low growing, 6 in. high. Leaves, many heart shaped.
