Moist chaparral on gradual NNW facing slope. Stephylea, Clematis, Quercus semota, Ceanothus leucodermis flg, Cornus, Ceanothus integerrimus, etc. bidding. Others veg. Note Staphylea chlorotic on leaf edges.
