The plants identified as G. o. ssp. bizonata that are disjunct in the Kern River of Tulare Co. are somewhat divergent from typical ssp. bizonata; they differ in their fewer and smaller, or absent, cauline leaf lobes; in this they are similar to ssp. exilis. The basal rosette tends to have fewer leaves as well. These are minor differences to me and I have annotated the specimens as ssp. bizonata. - GF Hrusa 2013
