Lodgepole for. Piute Canyon up to 10,400-10,600 Subalpine for. to 10,800 (even 11,200 on few favored rocky slopes) occas. Pinus albicaulis Krumholtz to 11,200, rare specimens to 11,600; basin mostly above 11,000 and alpine with extensive areas herbaceous alpine cover.
