Wide alluvial detritus, with sandy material within drainage. Bedrock showing through the slopes was composed of sedimentary conglomerate. Dry, sunny, still easy to walk through as recovering from fire many years ago, and the Adenostoma fasciculatum, Rhus ovata, Prunus ilicifolia, Ziziphus parryi, Ceanothus greggii perplexans, Eriodictyon trichocalyx, Salazaria mexicana, Keckiella antirrhinoides, Arctostaphylos glauca, and Purshia tridentata glandulosa were coming back nice on flat sandy areas. Some of the surrounding slopes were pretty heavily invested with Bromus species. Growing within canyon.
