Steep slopes; oak scrub burned last fall and now resprouting, sprouts 1-2 ft. tall. Fire apparently hot, based on little remaining potential fuel and low density of annuals. Annuals few but large; good diversity of species. Annual on steep N-facing slope under burned Quercus chrysolepis.
Assoc. with skeletons and a few live plants of Yucca whipplei, Pinus monophylla (few), Juniperus californica, Arcrostaphylos, Pinus sabiniana (few), Quercus wislizenii, Q. chrysolepis, etc.
