Associates were Cyperus Eragrostis and Parietaria judiacaa.
Florets pale dull green; many eps. those of the larger inflorescences, were washed with red-purple. Panicle branches and upper stems a dullish, medium green; below, stems were lighter green. Blades and sheaths colored much like stems but intended to be darker. Plants decumbent basally, some being stoloniferous. Max. length of stems ca. 3 1/2 ft. Patch covered an est. 3-4 sq. ft. ( in this vicinity, smaller-sized variants of this sp. occur in much drier places, including sidewalk crevices.)
